1. Lead Turbine Selection and Suitability Assessments;
Drive the evaluation and selection of wind turbines by assessing their suitability for specific projects, taking into account site conditions, design evolution, and technical certifications.
Ensure turbines meet regulatory requirements and industry standards, coordinating certification activities with third parties.
2. Turbine Design Review;
Lead the review of turbine designs, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and best practices.
Provide technical feedback on design improvements, component durability, and innovation, collaborating with OEMs and internal engineering teams.
3. Certification and Regulatory Compliance;
Oversee turbine certification processes, including the coordination of technical documentation, testing, and compliance activities with certification bodies.
Ensure all turbine-related activities adhere to local and international standards, including grid code compliance and environmental regulations.
4. OEM Relationship and Contract Management
Manage discussions with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and lead procurement processes, including Early Works Agreements, Turbine Supply Agreements (TSA), and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) contracts.
Ensure that contracts include appropriate performance guarantees, warranties, and long-term service agreements to optimize project outcomes.
5. Technical Due Diligence and Advisory
Conduct comprehensive technical due diligence for new projects, advising development and engineering teams on wind resource assessment, energy yield estimation, and technology selection.
Identify potential risks related to turbine performance and propose mitigation strategies during the development phase.
6. Evaluation of New Turbine Technologies
Continuously assess and recommend new turbine technologies and innovations, considering lifecycle management, operational performance, and long-term maintainability.
Liaise with third-party providers to ensure cutting-edge solutions are implemented.
7. Logistics and Installation Oversight
Develop logistics solutions for the transportation, installation, and commissioning of wind turbine generators (WTGs), considering both commercial and technical requirements.
Ensure that logistics planning aligns with project timelines and budget constraints.

【POSITION SUMMARY】
The position will be responsible for leading the entire procurement activities for Vena Japan and will be the external as well as internal interface for all the related activities for both wind, solar and storage projects, managing the relationship with the Suppliers, negotiate commercial terms, finalize and close contracts. Among other procurement activities, the position shall also be responsible for management of contracts including contractual obligations, managing contractual claims, vendors development and management of ongoing contracts, statutory compliance and support BD/EPC team on costing/scheduling.

The Procurement Manager plays a crucial role in driving efficiency and continuous improvement within the procurement process.
Reporting to the General Manager of EPC Onshore Wind, the position will be based in Tokyo, Japan and involve travelling to onshore wind power plants across the region. Furthermore, this role needs to be accountable for exploring the new area under General Manager.
【Key Responsibilities】
■Assist project-specific selection and approval of wind turbines following consideration of design
evolution, site conditions, certification, logistics, performance, maintainability and reliability.
■Support turbine, installation and transportation due diligence for new projects and collaborate with development and technical service teams in relation to wind resource assessment, energy yield estimation, grid code

Asset Management department Japan takes full responsibility on safety and cost efficiently asset managing on all operational projects in Japan (but not limited to).
This position will be involved in overall Asset management & operations, insurance management as well as reporting to stakeholders. The successful candidate will also work closely with all operating functions (NRE Operations, and Commercial department), other internal stakeholders (Vena Energy Engineering, Finance, Investment and Legal) and external stakeholders particularly, service providers, the lenders and insurance companies.
【KEY RESPONSIBILITIES】
1. Insurance Management
• Support high level planning and execution making operational insurance policy renewals efficient and effective. Communicate with internal functions and provide risk-control status reports to the insurance market.
• Lead insurance claim process improvement including deep understanding of Business Interruption claim process and lead the entire claim process.
• Identify key risks associated with Vena Energy's business activities, project and operations and propose insurance scheme improvements to senior management.
• Support insurance due diligence for Investment team for acquisition and financing activities.
• Work closely with Project team and Commercial Management team to procure insurance for constructional assets.
• Monitor insurance status and update the policies as necessarily to align with constructional schedule and policy renewal date.
