Associate, Asset Management (Onshore Wind)

【Summary】
The Associate, Asset Management (Onshore Wind) will be responsible for the operation, performance, and optimization of onshore wind and other renewable energy projects in Japan. This role is a key member of the team, working closely with the reporting manager to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of assets. The Associate, Asset Management (Onshore Wind) will also be involved in operational reporting, assisting with budget management, and ensuring that projects meet key performance indicators (KPIs). This position requires strong stakeholder management skills, expertise
in monitoring asset performance, and the ability to identify opportunities for improvement. Fluency in Japanese (speaking, reading, writing) is essential, with adequate proficiency in English for written communication.

【Key Responsibilities】
■Contract management
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with
contractual terms.
- Identify defects, negotiate resolutions, handle claims, and follow up on
operational issues.
- Oversee contract renewals and ensure timely execution.

■Troubleshooting
- Monitor and report on the performance of onshore wind assets.
- Analyze operational data, identify issues, and implement improvements to enhance performance.

■Person-in-charge of communication with O&M and vendors
- Coordinate troubleshooting efforts with contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Track operational issues, implement corrective measures.

■Commercial administration
- Handle processes of requests for quotations, purchase orders, and ensure timely receipt of deliverables.
- Coordinate with Finance and Investment teams for lender approvals.
- Maintain up-to-date cash flow data for effective financial management.

■Reporting/Documentation
- Prepare and deliver reports to both external stakeholders and internal management.
- Ensure accurate documentation for METI, utilities, and local authorities.

■Compliance
- Track the status and ensure timely renewals of permits, certifications, and other statutory requirements.
- Communicate with stakeholders, authorities, and governments to maintain compliance.
- Ensure all applications, reports, and payments are completed on schedule.

(including lunch break of 1-hour, flexible hours system with core time between 11:00 to 15:00).
想定給与 Depending on your experience, we will provide you individually after passing hiring process.

必須スキル・経験 【Education and Qualifications 】
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Science, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Drivers' licence

【Work Experience】
- 2+ years of experience in asset management, project management, or operations and
maintenance within sectors

【Technical / Professional Skills】
- Management skills to engage with both internal and external
stakeholders.
- Reading comprehension, in both Japanese and English, to handle
contractual matters.
- Negotiation skills with contractors, stakeholders, etc.

- A Master’s degree
- Related qualifications e.g. Chief Electrical Engineer (電気主任技術者)

【Work Experience】
- Experience with onshore wind projects or similar renewable energy assets.

【Technical / Professional Skills】
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data
- Expertise with wind turbine technologies.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
