We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Talent Manager to oversee and drive talent acquisition,
employer branding, and learning & development strategies for Deckers Japan. This role is essential in

Experience Business Partners, business leaders and cross-functional teams to ensure our talent strategy

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Talent Manager to oversee and drive talent acquisition,
employer branding, and learning & development strategies for Deckers Japan. This role is essential in
building a high-performing, engaged workforce by attracting top talent, enhancing our employer brand, and
fostering continuous learning and development for employees. You will collaborate with People and
Experience Business Partners, business leaders and cross-functional teams to ensure our talent strategy
aligns with the organization’s long-term goals.
2 【業務内容(職責)】

■TALENT ACQUISITION (35%)
• Lead and manage full-cycle recruitment efforts for key roles across the organization
that meet the staffing needs of the business unit and ensure exceptional candidate
experience.
• Develop and implement strategies to attract top talent through innovative sourcing
techniques, including LinkedIn, networking events, employee referrals, social
networking tools as well as identify cost-efficient sourcing methods.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers to ensure alignment on
staffing needs and talent profiles.
• Manage the recruitment process from candidate sourcing, screening, and interviewing to offer negotiation and onboarding.
• Track recruitment metrics and Workday ATS system to ensure efficiency and identify
areas for continuous improvement.
• Ensure all recruitment practices comply with labor laws and company policies.
Maintain up to date knowledge of employment regulations to mitigate risks

■ LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT(30%)
• Lead the design, communication, delivery, measurement, and ongoing management of significant global & regional curriculums and programs..
• Serve as the primary client partner for Japan to provide thought leadership, direction, ideas, recommendations, and solutions from a learning and development perspective.
• Partner closely with business leaders, PXBPs, and global & regional PX leaders to prioritize and understand business learning and capability needs, and ensure alignment/synergy of learning objectives with other PX programming
• Collaborate with Global Learning and Experience team to enhance and implement
global learning programs and localization.
• Partner with business leaders to create tailored learning initiatives that align with
organizational objectives.
• Monitor training content effectiveness and develop measures to demonstrate training
value and impact over time.

■EMPLOYER BRANDING (25%)
• Develop and execute strategies to enhance the company’s employer brand and reputation in the marketplace
• Collaborate with Global Talent Acquisition team to create compelling employer branding content (e.g., job descriptions, media, social networking sites).
• Promote company culture and values through both internal and external channels, ensuring consistent messaging across platforms.
• Leverage employee testimonials, case studies, and success stories to attract prospective candidates.
• Engage with industry events and partnerships to increase visibility as an employer of choice.
• Managing progress on implementation of enhanced systems and processes.

■PEOPLE MANAGEMENT (10%)
• Manage and develop team members according to their needs and get the team highly
engaged and motivated.
• Ensure the team members has the tool and knowledge to pursue their roles and
responsibilities.
• Instill and reinforce the highest standards for collaboration and teamwork
• Foster an environment of inclusion and belonging where all employees feel valued, where differences are embraced, and everyone feels empowered to bring their full, authentic selves to work.
• Champion best practices to improve representation and belonging at Deckers.

3 【Education/ Experience】
• 5+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition and/or Learning & Development roles, with a proven track record.
• Experience building and developing sourcing/recruiting strategies and tools.
• People management experiences leading a small team


【Skills/Competencies】
• Strong knowledge of recruitment tools and platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, applicant tracking systems).
• Demonstrated expertise in creating and executing employer branding strategies.
• Experience planning and implementing employee training and development programs.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments
and with senior leaders.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• A passion for talent development and a commitment to fostering a culture of growth and learning.
• Results-oriented with self-confidence, perseverance, and a high sense of urgency.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in both Japanese and English (TOEIC 850+)
• Competent at data collection and analysis.
• High learning agility.
• Familiarity with data analytics and the ability to assess talent programs’ ROI.
• Proficient in MS Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook,
