Working alongside the Integrated Marketing Manager, the DTC Marketing Associate, HOKA, is responsible for implementing the DTC execution for retail stores. This passionate and confident individual will lead the pre-season DTC planning for the channels including the trade show, catalogue, as well as in-season channel and consumer brand initiatives including POPs, window graphic change-outs, account promotions, digital content rollout. Opening and managing Shop-in-shop spaces in our key account stores is a priority as HOKA in Japan looks to build its brand presence to a wider audience.
The DTC Marketing Associate – HOKA is expected to be a confident expert capable of working collaboratively with HOKA Japan Sales team and DTC Retail team. There will be times where this individual will be working closely with global teams. DTC partially or fully includes SIS (Shop-in-Shop) as well and this requires working closely with sales team and wholesale accounts.
This critical position works closely with a wide range of internal teams to ensure the DTC plans align and complement brand strategies. This includes HOKA Japan Marketing, Sales, Merchandising, Operations, DTC retail stores Global Marketing, Global Creative. This individual will particularly work closely with Field Experience Representative Team to develop instore physical experiences for consumers and store staff.

2 | 業務内容(職責) ※ (%)は全体の業務に対する割合を指します ■ Seasonal Marketing Plan Development (40%) • Implement full-year marketing plan for DTC and SIS stores. • To set up full year/ seasonal / monthly activity calendar with DTC team/ Sales team • Understand the insight of runners, hikers and lifestyle consumers that are unique to each channel and account and act as a consumer expert • Build seasonal and product launch reports ■ Pre-&In-Season DTC Marketing (40%) • Create and deliver channel specific marketing assets, including store windows, in-store POPs, graphics, GWPs, digital banners in alignment with local marketing team, working with external production agencies • Design, build and maintain shop-in-shop spaces in partnership with Sales team ■ DTC Retail Marketing (20%) • Lead/ Assist DTC VMD team on the quality execution of retail marketing activities such as in-store promotion, GWP, mall promotion. • Create and present the seasonal summary presentations to DTC store staff ■ Operations (10%) • Budget planning and management • Stock management of promotion materials in the warehouse • Ordering seeding units ※副業・兼業不可 |
3 | 【Education/ Experience】 • Bachelor’s degree • 3+ years related marketing experience including trade, retail, product and digital marketing • Experience organizing and supporting online and physical presence with accounts executing marketing initiatives around consumer-driven objectives • Managing multiple projects and developing project plans and managing budgets • Proven networking and relationship-building experience required • Footwear/retail experience preferred. • Experience and/or interest in running, fitness, lifestyle (fashion, sneakers) or outdoors preferred 【Skills/Competencies】 • Strong written and verbal communication skills in Japanese to interact with colleagues and the executive management professionally • A high level of English proficiency is not required. Basic reading and writing skills are needed. • Organized and disciplined • Able to find solutions to complex or ambiguous problems • Innovative manager with people & processes • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to navigate internal organization • Ability to use independent judgment in performing all duties of the position |
