Associate, Technical & Performance / Asset Management

【Summary】
The purpose of this role is to support operational reporting, develop data-driven strategies, serve as a liaison between O&M teams and vendors, and conduct energy modeling by developing robust data collection systems and forecasting models. This role aims to increase EBITDA by promptly and accurately identifying equipment downtime and its impact, as well as ensuring seamless communication across all SCADA systems.

【Key Responsibilities】
■Operation report and report visualization
An accurate and informative dashboards and reports to provide findings and insights of operational plants’ generation, performance, interruptions, and improvements to stakeholders.

■Data-driven operational strategy planning
Creation and implementation of data-driven strategies to optimize energy production and improvements of EBITDA by identifying low performing plants, implementing plausible causes, and work with team to solve the issues.

■Person-in-charge of communication with O&M and vendors
Smooth communication between TAM, O&M and vendors, in which any action items observed by plants’ generation and performance analysis can be executed. Data Availability near to 100% with any issues detected early and actions are taken promptly.

■Data collection and management
Robust and timely dataset preparation from SCADA, utility bills, and operational reports by automating the data collection and management.

■Energy forecasting model development
Energy forecasting model with high accuracy, so interruptions and availability are being better estimated.

アセットマネジメント / Asset Management (Insurance), Associate

【POSITION SUMMARY】
Vena Energy is a leading renewable energy company in the Asia-Pacific region that owns, develops, constructs, operates, manages, and commercializes a renewable energy portfolio of solar, onshore wind, and hybrid renewable energy projects which comprise our Core business, and offshore wind and energy storage projects.
Asset Management department Japan takes full responsibility on safety and cost efficiently asset managing on all operational projects in Japan (but not limited to).
This position will be involved in overall Asset management & operations, insurance management as well as reporting to stakeholders. The successful candidate will also work closely with all operating functions (NRE Operations, and Commercial department), other internal stakeholders (Vena Energy Engineering, Finance, Investment and Legal) and external stakeholders particularly, service providers, the lenders and insurance companies.

【KEY RESPONSIBILITIES】
1. Insurance Management
• Support high level planning and execution making operational insurance policy renewals efficient and effective. Communicate with internal functions and provide risk-control status reports to the insurance market.
• Lead insurance claim process improvement including deep understanding of Business Interruption claim process and lead the entire claim process.
• Identify key risks associated with Vena Energy's business activities, project and operations and propose insurance scheme improvements to senior management.
• Support insurance due diligence for Investment team for acquisition and financing activities.
• Work closely with Project team and Commercial Management team to procure insurance for constructional assets.
• Monitor insurance status and update the policies as necessarily to align with constructional schedule and policy renewal date.
• Liaise with insurance brokers to procure new policies when project becomes operational, and when operational projects have policy renewals.
• Monitor Development phase and non-project related policies and update or renew them as necessarily.
• Work with Investment/Finance team to prepare for a pledging on insurance policy for the assets which has project financing.
• Manage all the insurance claiming Vena Energy Japan has by closely working with Project team/O&M team/Technical and Development team and external stakeholders such as insurance companies and broker.
• Prepare and contribute to materials for internal stakeholders such as local/regional insurance team, and Vena Energy management on insurance-related matters for regular and ad-hoc reporting.
• Support external stakeholder reporting such as lenders/investors for any insurance and claim-related matters.
• Actively study on the market trend for insurance premium outlook analysis and evaluate/ensure Vena Energy’s insurance policies are.
• Process administrative works required to place the insurance including preparing application document and making the payment for insurance procurement.

2. Operational Assets works
• Support their OM repair work on planning/quote/invoice phase when the work relevant to insurance claims.
• Support preparation for sessions with local residents and community related activities.

3. Project Finance works
• Understand insurance requirements from lenders and work with Project Finance team to satisfy them.
• Support Cash Flow management improvement activities.

Associate, Asset Management (Onshore Wind)

【Summary】
The Associate, Asset Management (Onshore Wind) will be responsible for the operation, performance, and optimization of onshore wind and other renewable energy projects in Japan. This role is a key member of the team, working closely with the reporting manager to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of assets. The Associate, Asset Management (Onshore Wind) will also be involved in operational reporting, assisting with budget management, and ensuring that projects meet key performance indicators (KPIs). This position requires strong stakeholder management skills, expertise
in monitoring asset performance, and the ability to identify opportunities for improvement. Fluency in Japanese (speaking, reading, writing) is essential, with adequate proficiency in English for written communication.

【Key Responsibilities】
■Contract management
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with
contractual terms.
- Identify defects, negotiate resolutions, handle claims, and follow up on
operational issues.
- Oversee contract renewals and ensure timely execution.

■Troubleshooting
- Monitor and report on the performance of onshore wind assets.
- Analyze operational data, identify issues, and implement improvements to enhance performance.

■Person-in-charge of communication with O&M and vendors
- Coordinate troubleshooting efforts with contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Track operational issues, implement corrective measures.

■Commercial administration
- Handle processes of requests for quotations, purchase orders, and ensure timely receipt of deliverables.
- Coordinate with Finance and Investment teams for lender approvals.
- Maintain up-to-date cash flow data for effective financial management.

■Reporting/Documentation
- Prepare and deliver reports to both external stakeholders and internal management.
- Ensure accurate documentation for METI, utilities, and local authorities.

■Compliance
- Track the status and ensure timely renewals of permits, certifications, and other statutory requirements.
- Communicate with stakeholders, authorities, and governments to maintain compliance.
- Ensure all applications, reports, and payments are completed on schedule.
