In this role within the O&M and Asset Management department, you will provide support to Vena Energy Offshore Wind projects pipeline in the APAC region with a homebase in Japan.
The Manager, Asset Integrity, will be part of the operational asset management team and contribute to supporting the entire process of managing risks related to offshore wind project development with the perspective of implementing the asset management system similar or compliant with ISO55000 framework based on ISO31000.
Risk management being at the core of what we do, the Manager, Asset Integrity, O&M, will support the different tasks related to identifying and managing risks that impact safety, security, asset integrity, reputation, or financial success in relation to the O&M Asset Management.
You will interact and interface with peers from any other Vena Energy corporate functions such as permitting and consenting, engineering and technical support departments, and will be engaging with external stakeholders such as national grid operator, external consultants or similar.
You will overall use project management and leadership skills to establish and maintain the agreed level of effectiveness of our projects.
You will seek to seize the opportunity to further develop his/her technical, commercial, financial, project management and leadership skills working with an established, experienced team.
The Manager, Asset Integrity, O&M, will report to Group Head, O&M and Asset Management, as direct line manager.

【Position Summary】
You will be reporting to the Head(s) of Business Development and/or a Manager / Senior Manager within Vena Energy to support the development of new business and business strategy, largely related to the sale of renewable energy in a ‘post FIT’ market, and the development of the Solar, Storage and Green Hydrogen businesses in VENA Energy Japan. You will be expected to assist the Business Development team in the following activities.
【Key Responsibilities 】
・Investigating new FIT/FIP or Storage project opportunities including information of counterparties, etc. Present the opportunities to the team by highlighting key elements to make decisions whether or not to proceed with them.
・Screening land, grid connection, and other development criteria and working with internal shareholders (Engineering, Development, Investment) to prepare greenfield development opportunities. Propose new ideas and/or improvements in screening criteria/methodology, to identify new opportunities.
・Consolidating, organizing, monitoring information, critical paths, upcoming important milestones and communicating these with Project Management, team leaders and other stakeholders. Providing directions to external/internal stakeholders to effectively achieve project milestones under BU Head/Managers’ assistance.
・Preparing presentations, summary of project documents, project development to do lists and other information necessary for the successful management of origination projects. Giving presentations to Senior Management to highlight key development milestones.
・Engaging with stakeholders such landowners, brokers, utility companies, local and prefectural regulators etc., required to progress the development of origination projects. Facilitate discussions with external parties by following up with external/internal stakeholders to efficiently acquire project rights.
・Preparing presentation and discussion materials for internal and external stakeholders based on the corporate strategy. Giving presentations to Senior Management to highlight key development milestones.
・Communicate with utilities, submit and manage SIS, GCA and other grid related documentation, applications and inquiries. Facilitate the discussion with utilities with engineering team, for the better interconnection conditions and efficient timeline.
・Coordinate BD requests for design and engineering, manage tasks and to dos, organize project priorities and ensure timely deliverables from related teams. Lead the internal team discussions, by highlighting/documenting the list of ongoing technical requests.
・Other duties as requested by the legal team and the Company.
【Required Qualifications】
・Education and Qualifications: Possess a university degree
・Work Experience: Experience in a field of expertise related to renewable energy or the energy business
・Technical / Professional Skills: A strong written and oral command of the Japanese language is essential
・Non-Technical / Soft Skills: Good interpersonal skills and excellent teamwork, as the individual must be adaptable to work independently and as part of a team
