　製品設計には回路設計、機械設計、ソフト設計も当然伴いますので、学生時代は光以外の分野を専攻していた人たちも数多く活躍しています。

【主な業務内容】
1. 研究開発
　　試作品の設計・開発・評価
　　量産設計品の設計・開発・評価

2. 生産技術
　　製品の改良設計、試作・評価
　　治工具の設計や設備導入、生産ラインの設計・管理

3. プログラミング・ソフトウェア設計
　　当社が開発・製造・販売する製品や製造ラインで使用するソフトウェアの開発・改良

　　・光測定器をコンピュータから制御するソフトウェアの開発
　　・医療機器に搭載するソフトウェアの設計・改良
　　・光学計測機器の制御・計測ソフトウェアの開発　　　　　　　など

4. 製品設計
　　光学設計、電子回路設計、機械設計、筐体設計など、製品の設計業務

　　・光測定器に組み込まれる電子回路設計、基板設計
　　・光通信用部品の機械設計（機構部、駆動部）
　　・眼科医療機器の機械設計および電気・電子回路設計、評価　　　　　　　など

【Main Responsibilities】
1. Research & Development
　　Develop new technologies and products and improve existing technologies.
　　・Design, development, and evaluation of prototypes and mass-production design products.

2. Production Engineering
　　Developing and improving technologies to efficiently, high-quality, and cost-effectively mass-produce products.
　　・Product design improvements, prototyping and evaluation, design of jigs and tools, equipment installation, and design and management of production lines.

3. Programming & Software Design
　　Designing and developing product control, data processing, and user interfaces
　　・Development and improvement of software used in products, manufacturing lines, and for development, manufacturing, and sales at our company.

4. Product design
　　Product design
　　・Optical design, electronic circuit design, mechanical design, enclosure design, and other product design tasks.
